Jordan Beck |
Jordan Beck graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Illinois with a B.S. in chemical engineering. During his undergraduate years he spent two summers working in industry and four semesters working as a teaching assistant in general chemistry. Through these experiences, Jordan developed a passion for teaching chemistry. While pursuing his Ph.D. in chemistry, he has also been involved in the teaching specialization program. This program has allowed him to spend time developing discussion sections for two physical chemistry courses. Jordan’s current chemical research interests include trying to fundamentally understand the process of unimolecular dissociation in our experiments, looking at possible non-sequential multi-photon absorption, and investigating the IR spectra of molecular ions. |
